Don’t have much time, here’s a bit-size Morning Prayer:

🙏 Bite-Size Morning Prayer

God of new beginnings,
Light of the world,
You meet us with mercy each morning.

As the birds sing,
May our voices rise in songs of praise.

As the light shines through the window,
May your light guide our steps today.

As we taste the first sip or bite of the day,
May we hunger for your Word and your presence.

As we feel the air on our skin and the ground beneath our feet,
May we remember your Spirit surrounds and upholds us.

As we listen to the quiet or the stirrings of the world,
Open our ears to your voice and the cries of others.

Touch our hearts,
Still our minds,
And awaken our souls to your nearness.

Walk with us, Jesus,
And shape us into people of peace.
Amen.

🎶 Praise – Song of Zechariah (Benedictus)

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for he has looked favourably on his people and redeemed them.

He has raised up a mighty saviour for us
in the house of his servant David,

as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us.

Thus he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors,
and has remembered his holy covenant,

the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham,
to grant us

that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies,
might serve him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness
before him all our days.

And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,

to give knowledge of salvation to his people
by the forgiveness of their sins.

By the tender mercy of our God,
the dawn from on high will break upon[b] us,

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.’

Luke 1:68-79

🔁 Response – Jubilate Deo

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.

Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him; bless his name.

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100

🙏 The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit
the holy catholic Church
the communion of saints
the forgiveness of sins
the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting. Amen

Lord, have mercy upon us
Christ, have mercy upon us
Lord, have mercy upon us

Our Father in heaven
hallowed be your Name
your kingdom come
your will be done
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever. Amen
