🔍 Who is Elijah?

Elijah lived in the northern kingdom of Israel around the 9th century BCE. His very name means “My God is Yahweh.” He wandered the wilderness, confronted corrupt rulers, performed miracles of care, and constantly called Israel back to covenant faithfulness.

📚 Why Elijah Matters

• He stood up to King Ahab and Queen Jezebel when they promoted Baal worship and exploited the people.
• He showed God’s provision in simple yet miraculous ways, ravens, a poor widow’s jar of oil, and even bread in the wilderness.
